Membership

 

The AURORA AREA HISTORICAL SOCIETY is funded only by membership dues, fundraising projects and from the profits earned from the copying and release of historical documents.  We have been fortunate enough to receive some grant funds for various special projects such as the Friendship Quilt Project. Grant funds are highly competitive, designated for very specific uses, and they cannot be applied toward individual wages or expenses for other projects.

During the past year, some membership dues were not paid.  We are aware that in our year of transition, you were probably not notified of the need to renew your membership.  To make this process less a mystery, we have come up with a system to let you know if you have paid your dues.  We use computerized labeling and on each label, you will see either two digit number or two letters.
